A balanced mind E-learning

Recovery isn't only about sleep. When people run at full speed for months, it shows at work as poor focus, short tempers and tiredness a weekend doesn't fix, and the usual advice to rest more rarely changes anything. Most employees know they should look after themselves, but not what that really means. This course introduces seven daily activities that keeps the mind in balance, and practical ways to fit them into an ordinary week.

From the course:

  • The healthy mind platter: seven mental nutrients for the brain
  • Sleep time: seven tips for better sleep, and methods for when you can't fall asleep
  • Connecting time: why the brain needs social relationships, and how to build them
  • Physical time and focus time: how movement and single-tasking strengthen the brain
  • Time in, down time and play time: reflection, rest and why adults need play

After the course:

  • Your employees know what recovery involves beyond sleep
  • People have concrete habits to try, not just a reminder to slow down
  • Shift workers get guidance that fits the way they actually work
  • You have a shared language for talking about mental well-being at work

The course is built on the healthy mind platter model, which sets out the seven mental nutrients the brain needs to stay in shape.

Everyone start with a self-assessment of their current balance, then work through seven sections with short videos, exercises and downloadable worksheets such as a sleep diary. Optional deep dives go further. The course in total takes about 90 minutes to complete but keep in mind that it is flexible how much knowledge you want to take part of. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate.

This suits organisations that want to give all employees simple, concrete ways to look after their mental well-being, at work and beyond.
