Preventing Musculoskeletal Problems E-learning

Musculoskeletal problems develop slowly, so they rarely show up in your figures until someone is already in pain, and once they appear they can take a long time to heal. Prevention is what's cheap here, and it comes down to working technique and a handful of exercises people actually do. This course teaches how to reduce strain through proper working techniques and simple exercises for different parts of the body, focusing on the areas most relevant to each person.

From the course:

  • Full-body exercises and how much physical activity you need each week

  • Risk factors and prevention for neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands and fingers

  • Exercises for the lower back, hips, knees and feet

  • Working techniques that reduce strain, such as lifting with an underhand grip

  • Ask the ergonomist: answers to common questions about exercises and persistent problems

After the course:

  • Employees know which working techniques reduce strain in their own tasks

  • People act on early discomfort instead of waiting for it to become a problem

  • Everyone has exercises for the body areas their work actually loads

  • Staff can look up the guides again when problems return, without booking anything

The course consists of eleven sections, each with pictorial and video guides to the exercises plus a downloadable PDF, so participants can pick the body areas that concern them and revisit them later.

The course takes approximately 45 minuter to complete, with a certificate awarded upon completion.

For all employees, whether their work is sedentary or physically demanding, and useful across an entire workplace rather than only for those who already have symptoms.
