Office Ergonomics E-learning

Neck and shoulder pain among office workers is often caused by poorly adjusted equipment and spending long hours in the same position. Investing in height-adjustable desks and good-quality monitors is a great start, but the benefits are limited if employees don't know how to use them properly. Discomfort can also develop gradually, long before anyone raises the issue. By the time a manager becomes aware of it, the problem may have been there for months.

This training gives employees the knowledge and practical skills to set up their own workstations and work more ergonomically.

From the course:

  • Workplace design: rules and requirements
  • How prolonged sitting affects the body
  • How to adjust your chair, desk, monitor and keyboard
  • Eye health: lighting, screen distance and visual ergonomics
  • Working beyond the office: ergonomics at home and on the go

After the course:

  • Employees know how to adjust their chairs, desks, monitors and keyboards to suit their bodies
  • More employees change positions throughout the day rather than sitting in the same position for hours
  • Employees can apply good ergonomic practices whether they're working from home or on the go
  • You can be confident that employees have the knowledge to make the most of your investment in ergonomic equipment

The training takes 35 minutes to complete and consists of six modules. Employees receive a certificate upon completion. Ergonomist Linda Olsberg guides participants through instructional videos and Q&A sessions across all six modules.

Who is this training for?

This training is designed for employees who work in office environments, whether at a dedicated workstation or splitting their time between the office and home. Employees in more physically demanding roles will benefit from training specifically tailored to their work.
